Hello, and welcome to the Asparagus Family Blog!  My name is Mary Elaine Oakley and I come from a small town in one of the Rocky Mountain States.  I am married to Leon and we have one son who is 12.  His name is Chris.  I decided to start this blog, because I could not find much information or support out there for a woman married to a man with Asperger’s.  Oh and our son has Asperger’s too!

Most of the time our life seems pretty complicated, but living with two people who have Asperger’s is an adventure that I would not change for the world!  It is wild, crazy, and yes fun.  Join us on our adventure as I bring out the truth of living with Asperger’s times two!

*Just so everyone knows, I am not a Doctor or a Psychiatrist.  I have no certified training in dealing with Asperger’s or Autism.  Heck I am a college drop out for that matter!  I am just a wife and a mom sharing the experiences of my amazing family!
